The 2025-2026 school marathon came to a close on Tuesday, October 7th. On Wednesday, students that finished the marathon received their t-shirt and medal at the marathon assembly.

Sunset's race direction, Mr. Hoover wanted more Eagles to complete the marathon this year. "My goal for this year was to have more finishers than last year. We absolutely crushed that goal! I'm really proud of Sunset students!"

Top runners in the school were again recognized with spray painted shoes. Top runners in Kindergarten-2nd Grade included Cruz (2nd Place), Klayton (1st Place), and Vanilla (1st Place). Top runners in 3rd-5th Grade were Jacob (3rd Place), William (2nd Place), and Nathaniel (1st Place). Nathaniel was the top finisher in the entire school and completed over 3 marathons!
